OPEN ROLE

Market & Lead Intelligence (Primary Focus, First 12–18 Months)

• Leverage ConstructConnect and other market intelligence platforms to identify and qualify leads for the Sales team.
• Research and analyze external data sources to size potential markets for new product launches.
• Provide structured insight reports for product management and Sales team, linking data findings to commercial opportunities.
• Monitor competitors, industry trends, and construction market activity to identify new opportunities or risks.

Analytics & Decision Support (Secondary, Expanding Over Time)

• Support the Head of Analytics & Strategy in developing reports, dashboards, and visualizations for leadership and cross-functional teams.
• Assist in building and maintaining datasets, SQL queries, and BI tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, or equivalent).
• Contribute to ad-hoc analyses supporting pricing, sourcing, operations, and finance initiatives.
• Perform data wrangling and preparation to enable more advanced modeling and analytics work.
• Experiment with AI-enabled analytics tools (e.g., natural language query interfaces, predictive modeling) to improve data-driven decision-making.
• Assist in developing Google Cloud–based data solutions to enable scalable data pipelines and automation.

Collaboration & Communication

• Partner with Sales, Marketing, and Product teams to ensure insights are aligned with business needs.
• Translate research and data findings into clear, actionable recommendations.
• Document and communicate methodologies and assumptions for transparency and repeatability.

Continuous Learning & Improvement

• Stay current on industry trends, market research techniques, and analytics tools.
• Proactively identify ways to improve efficiency and automation in data collection and reporting.
• Develop skills in advanced analytics and BI to take on increasing responsibility within the analytics function.

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, Data Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• 0–3 years of professional experience in market research, data analysis, or a related field (internship or co-op experience acceptable).
• Curiosity and ability to conduct open-market research and synthesize data into actionable insights.
• Proficiency with Excel and at least one BI or visualization tool (Power BI, Tableau, or equivalent).
• Proficiency in a programming language such as Python, R or demonstrated aptitude and willingness to learn programming for data analysis.
• Exposure to SQL or willingness to learn for querying and transforming data.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills; able to explain data-driven findings to non-technical stakeholders.
• Interest in developing skills in AI tools, Google Cloud Platform (BigQuery, Data Studio, etc.), and automation techniques.
• Highly organized, detail-oriented, and eager to learn in a fast-paced environment.
