In 1993, newly graduated architect Serge Cornelissen designed his first luminaire at the age of 23. From there, he built a globally recognized design office known for its innovative use of the latest LED technology, with designs produced by lighting manufacturers around the world. His approach went beyond aesthetics, pairing lighting-technical innovation with meticulously considered mechanical design, and his work earned international acclaim and numerous awards. Serge passed away in February 2024. The luminaires he designed for Beta-Calco remain a proud part of our collection.
